Colorado Workforce Development Council’s (CWDC’s) vision is that every employer has access to a skilled workforce and every Coloradan has the opportunity for meaningful employment, resulting in individual and statewide economic prosperity.
Thompson School District is committed to expanding apprenticeship opportunities for students. Through strategic investment and community partnerships, TSD launched a new Information Technology Services (ITS) Registered Apprenticeship program for youth, designed to give students hands-on experience while supporting district technology operations.
This program creates a pipeline for students to gain real-world skills in areas such as network support, hardware and software troubleshooting, and IT service management — all while earning wages and school credit. The ITS department is currently hiring for multiple apprentice positions, providing a direct pathway from classroom learning to high-demand careers in technology.
In collaboration with local employers like the City of Loveland, the Loveland Chamber of Commerce, and the Larimer County Workforce Center, TSD’s Work-Based Learning team continues to prioritize building apprenticeship opportunities in high-growth career fields, ensuring students are prepared for the workforce of the future.
